Musgrave Installation Project

Musgrave Museum was the first ‘maximal space’ that I visited for the purposes of this blog. The biographical nature of the museum really struck a chord, and for some time I have been planning a response to the space.

After a second visit, and discovering that the museum might be losing funding, I decided that I would attempt to create my own display based on Musgrave’s maximal use space.

This ‘installation’ will focus on what Musgrave referred to as his ‘miniature sculptures’, and will use the photo opposite as reference. Over a period of 10 – 12 months, I hope to collect as many figures from this display case, as is possible.

Sadly, George Musgrave passed away recently. This piece is a homage to his achievements.
